Greats Brand, Revolution Done Right
Disclaimer: while I am a Varsity College Ambassador, I am in no way obligated to post or endorse the brand with this blog post.
Imagine culture meets affordability meets everyone's favorite past time, the internet. Greats Brand, Brooklyn's first sneaker brand, is built on the idea that yes it is totally okay with attempting to buy status just don't get sucked into the paying an arm and a leg hype.
Tying into my previous post about the hype and paying for the hype of the brand, that's one of my favorite attributes about Greats itself. Now owning 10+ pairs since joining the team of Greats I can tell you that I without a doubt swear by them and will rep them far beyond my time with the crew. It's easy to stand on this side and talk about how Great, pun intended, I think they look and feel but.. surprise surprise, it's story time again. Quick one, I swear. So, I went to the dentist back down in South Florida during my winter break from college and as I was sitting there the dentist, obviously, started speaking to me with a tool in my mouth. So she asks about my shoes and how much she loves them and how they look like all of the Italian leather shoes she buys at Nordstrom, before we had even hit stores, and I was so happy to talk about the brand! So, I tell her about them and she says "Christmas just passed my husband would kill me for how much they probably are!" I assured her they weren't bad, pulled up the site, and showed her our styles-- she asked: "do you get a discount, I'm ready to buy right now." I promise you, on the spot, with my mouth full of products still, she bought two pairs of Woosters.
My personal favorites are the Pronto's and Woosters with a splash of Royale Knit and they're a perfect fit for any occasion.
